Rotor Systems
Cuts and fully empties mud additive sacks, easy to integrate in any mixing system. The unit comes with an integrated reservoir and a conveyor for controlled additive dosing. Integrated self cleaning filters ensure a dust free working environment.
Rapid addition of weight material (barite, ilmenite, calcium carbonate) to increase the drilling fluid density is required in certain situations, for instance during spudding, mixing of kill mud and downhole losses.
For mixing of drilling and completion fluids. The Rotor MHO-01 standard mixing hopper includes a venturi mixer with integrated hopper on a rugged and easy to install base frame. Designed for minimum pressure drop and optimal blending of powder additives.
For emptying and dosing of chemicals from big bags. The unit includes a cutting hopper with an integrated knife and a lifting/dosing conveyor mounted on a rugged and easy to install base frame. The unit is delivered with a fixed emptying hopper, a portable hopper for forklift transport is available upon request.
For adding liquid chemicals to drilling and completion fluids, the liquid chemical dosing skid ensures easy operation and reliable performance. Variable speed diaphragm pumps which allows simple and operator-friendly control. Flexibility to feed two outlets while hooked up to different additives provides full operational flexibility.
The caustic mixing unit is designed for safe and efficient blending of small batches of caustic soda for use in drilling and completion fluids. Focusing on HSE and functionality, the unit is designed to allow the operator to mix caustic soda batches without any exposure to hazardous chemicals and readily mixed caustic.
Shear forces need to be applied for proper blending of drilling fluid chemicals. Some chemicals require high pressure shearing for full effect (emulifiers, viscosifiers). The Rotor HPS-01 is a high pressure shear unit designed for connection to a high pressure mud pump for high pressure shearing of drilling fluids when required.
Focusing on HSE, dustfree handling and dosing of drilling fluid additives is obtained with container based systems. Rotor Systems engineers have been involved in design and delivery of containerized systems since these systems were introduced offshore.
For intermediate storage of bulk materials such as barite, bentonite, cement and calcium carbonate. The surge tanks receive, store and dose bulk materials as required. The tanks can be delivered in standard sizes, specified sizes or engineered to suit the available space.
The ideal solution for dust free and continuous controlled adding of drilling fluid additives is provided by the Rotor Cell Feeder. With full flexibility for local and/or remote operation; efficient dosing of various additives such as barite, bentonite, CaCO3, polymers, salt and lime from different sized storage tanks is guaranteed.
