Connected to the choke and kill manifold the mud gas separator is designed to handle returns from the wellbore during well control situations (“kicks”). Internal baffle plates distribute returns over an increased surface area allowing superior gas/liquid separation. Fluid is routed to the solids control system for further processing while gas is vented through the top to safe area.
The Rotor CCC-01 is designed for choke control and operation of other hydraulic operated valves in choke & kill manifold systems. The Console fulfills API-16C (Annex-G) and DNV-GL requirements for primary Choke Control, with built in option for remote operation from the Drilling Control System.
