Rapid addition of weight material (barite, ilmenite, calcium carbonate) to increase the drilling fluid density is required in certain situations, for instance during spudding, mixing of kill mud and downhole losses.
Installed in the active and reserve system and connected directly to the mixing pumps and the bulk storage and transfer system, the unit can handle up to 120 t/h of barite for rapid density increase. The Rotor HRM-01 high rate mixer consists of a mixing head installed on the tank top with connected drop pipe and dilutor inside the tank. Easy installation, fine tuned during commissioning. Low wear and few spare parts ensure low maintenance requirements. Designed for minimum pressure drop and optimal mixing of weight material.
